Mother Nature threw 60 mph gusts for hours, and that means people today are dealing with blown-over fences, branches knocked off trees and roofs ripped into shreds. So is there a roof that can withstand this kind of violence? You bet.

Here in northern Nevada, we're no strangers to high winds. And after one of our famous wind storms, it's not uncommon to see branches and, you guessed, bits of wood shake and comp roofing all over the place. It's one of the many reasons we've found metal roofs to be so successful in our area - one of the most noteworthy features of metal roofs is their resistance to high winds.
