Q. I'm probably going to need a new roof before next winter. It's not even August now, but how much time do I really have before I need to make a decision?

A. If you’re really intent on doing something before winter comes, you should probably move now. Winter may seem far off, but anyone who knows what they’re doing is going to start getting busy really quickly. And by beginning the re-roofing process now, you'll have plenty of time to research your options without weather-related pressure hurrying you along.
